collapse post

There have 2 great things for today.

1.  Today is HCA's Caring for Community day and one of their projects is painting the offices for AtG.  12 employees showed up at 9:00 and by 11:30 they had moved all the furniture and had the first coat of paint done.  After lunch the second was done quickly and the furniture was being moved back into place.  They also helped rearrange the offices and clean up our filing cabinets.  Thanks HCA for all your support of this community.

2.  One of our newer moms has been struggling to get on her feet.  When we met her, she had just found out she was pregnant with her second child and about to be homeless.  One of our volunteer families agreed to take her in and become a support system around her.  With the housing situation taken care of, she needed to find work.  She has struggled over the last several weeks, but today she got a call and has a new job.  Congratulations to her, we are so proud of you.

WHAT A GREAT DAY

The importance of a drivers license Rob

collapse post

There are some things we just take for granted.  One of those is the ability to climb in our cars and drive to where ever it is we need to go. The ability to drive provides a freedom and just makes life easier.  Many people who don't have a license just drive illegally.  When they join the 180 Program we do all we can to put a stop to that; following the law is high on our priority list.
Last week, two of our moms came another step closer to independantly providing for themselves and are providing a great example to their community. Congratulations to these two young ladies.
