Wednesday Class Challenged Rob

collapse post

Wednesday night, the class was led by Bryan Maynard (friend and husband of AtG Board member).  Bryan told his story to the moms and encouraged them to fight through the struggles that we all have in our lives…to no longer make excuses and do the hard work necessary to overcome their past.  Bryan will be back next week to finish his story…the dialogue began and the moms were soaking it up.  Before long, the time was gone and the moms wanted Bryan to come back and finish his story.  It is amazing to see how these women can relate to the struggles that many of us have….addictions, abusive relationships, poor choices and things we can't control.  They are encouraged to continue and no longer be victims of their past.

Congratulations Nickell Whitson Rob

collapse post

Yesterday, Nickell Whitson was honored as an artist at The Frist Center for the Visual Arts.  Nickell has been a part of AtG's programming for several years and has incredible talent and potential.  His mother is enrolled in the 180 program and could not be prouder of her son.  His piece is part of the Franklin Special School Districts art exhibit and he is the third grade representative for Johnson Elementary.  The art will remain on display through the 15th of February.  If you have a chance to get down to the Frist Center and see Nickell's art by the 15th it is well worth the trip.
