Mom needs emergency housing Rob

collapse post

We got a call this morning from a local church with a referral.  A young mother who will be homeless as of today that needs a place to stay.  She has a 2 month old that cannot be around crowds.  She will temporarily be housed at our home until we can find a more permanent solution.  This is a great example of the need for AtG's Community of Hope which would include emergency housing until a mother could go through the intake process.  If you have any information on a temporary home please contact Rob and Meredith through the contact page.

Welcome to Against the Grain Ministries Rob

collapse post

Against the Grain Ministries is a non-denominational evangelistic, discipleship and servant ministry that is answering the charge given to Christians in James 1:27 to . . .

"look after the orphans and widows in their distress. . ."

We exist to empower single mothers by helping them grow as a complete person.  Our classes, the services that we offer and the mentoring relationships are designed to meet their needs physically, mentally and spiritually, and challenge them to grow in each of these areas of their lives. The single mothers that come to AtG for training are special young women who are committed to accepting their responsibilities as parents and are willing to make the tough choices and necessary sacrifices to break free from their dependence upon the government.  They desire to be held accountable as they gain the necessary skills to become effective parents and employees. Please check out the different areas of our web page and contact us for a more detailed list of ways that you and your church may partner with AtG.
